So we’ve been telling Sophia for the past few days, that we were going to take her to the salon, so she could get her haircut. And, for the most part, she has been really excited about it.
Tonight, we finally had the opportunity to go. Let’s just say it didn’t quite turn out how we […]
I’m not sure what prompted me to do so, but tonight while tucking Sophia into bed I asked her what she wanted to be when she grows up. She looked at me with a straight face and said…”A fireman”.
I didn’t even think she would be able to understand the question, but […]
With Derek’s upcoming first birthday, I’m trying to put together a photo book documenting his life so far. As he’s now standing/walking, I thought it would be great to get a good photo of him standing, to include in the book.
As with the videos, we haven’t really had many opportunities to get good shots of […]
Geez it is hard to capture a big boy walking for the first time, with an older sister constantly grabbing at the camera and Lexi jumping in front of the camera every chance she gets.
We were able to get about five seconds of the Derek walking tonight. I shot the video with our flip at […]

Last night was the night he […]
You can’t see in the photo, but both of Derek’s eyes are black and blue. The first one happened when he fell on the toy piano and the second one when he fell out of the refrigerator (yeah, you read right).
He’s so silly.
Sophia wanted to feed Derek last night:
Kind of puts in perspective, just how big Derek is. Look at the thighs on that boy!
Derek got his sister’s old helmet:
He’s not real crazy about wearing it. We had about a five second window for me to snap a couple pictures. He yanked it off, shortly after this […]
We took a stroll around the neighborhood as a family tonight.
Sophia didn’t get very far (our neighbor’s), before she got distracted:
Derek says “wassup”:
Just a pretty butterfly sculpture we found along the way:
Sophia shows us exactly where Derek’s belly button is:
Can you believe the size of the kid’s tummy? I mean geez…
