Garage Sale
Kevin and I decided it was time to get rid of all baby clothes and accessories in the house. I can’t believe how many clothes we had for Sophia!! I spent a good 10 hours organizing things into sizes (8 hours on Sophia’s stuff, 1 hr on Derek’s and an hour on ours).
Kevin has had three photo gigs, this week, but I still put him in charge of advertising. Turns out marketing was a little more important than I thought. Everyone always says how well baby stuff goes, but they mean if you can get people to your house. From 8 am until 4 pm, if you don’t count relatives or neighbors, I had a total of 10 customers.
So the garage sale was a huge flop, but we had a wonderful day! Grandma Robin came over early this morning to make sure we had enough help to get everything going. She was my first and best customer of the day.
The day turned sunny and gorgeous. The kids had a blast helping out and driving the barbie bikes around in the garage, drawing on the sidewalk and just hanging out with Grandma. Thank you so much for all your help Robin, it was nice to have someone hanging out with me and the kids!!
PS- around 2 pm, I read the insert in the mail, it said Green Meadows Neighborhood Garage Sale May 8-10. That would have been nice to know. Anyway, I think we might try it again next weekend. Why not?? So if anyone wants to come by this week and check out our stuff, just let me know.
I had a great day hanging out with you guys! The kids were great fun. We had a chance to talk all day. Got a chance to meet some new people. Bought some great stuff for Julie & Alleen. Couldn’t have been a better day for me.
Hope your sunburn is better today. You were awfully red when I left. My face is stiff this morning and I have some really funny looking lines on my arms.
