Clean ‘em Up, Clean ‘em Up

On Saturday, we did a clean sweep of the all the kids’ toys. We went through all the toys in the house and bagged a ton of old stuffed animals and toys for goodwill. We told Sophia that the toy’s were going to kids who were less fortunate and don’t have a lot of toys. She seemed to understand quite well. She said, “here Daddy, some little girl would like to play with this bear”.

A huge thank you for Kevin for cleaning non-stop today. I wasn’t feeling the best, so after breakfast I went back to bed for a few hours. When I woke up the house was scattered with toys in every room. However, the mess kept the kids busy while he steam cleaned the floors, did a couple loads of laundry and wiped down the furniture and windows. He seemed to be cleaning all day long.

It seems like all we do is clean up after the kids. As they move from one room to the next, we swoop in behind them and clean up the last messy room. Derek likes to pick up blocks and books, he always claps when he picks something up and puts it in a bin. We usually have to bribe Sophia to help. Today she got to go to the “Mommy Salon”, for helping out.

Will the mess ever end??
