It seems that as Derek gets more mobile, Sophia is getting more jealous. We brought some of Sophia’s old toys up from downstairs so Derek could have some fun toys to pull himself up on. Sophia has decided that they are hers and doesn’t want Derek to play with them. She scoots him out of the way or just steals the toy away. She would also like to steal Mommy and Daddy away if she could. So it’s another new challenge we will have to overcome.

Derek seems to be a little jealous too. We usually give him and Sophia a bath together, but tonight we decided to just give Sophia a bath by herself. Derek was in the living room playing by himself…at least that’s where we left him. Sure enough the little tike motored his way down the hallway, into the bathroom and pulled himself up on the tub. I think he would have climbed in if we would have let him try. So we “reset” him with some toys in the living room. A few minutes later he was peering over the side of the tub laughing at his big sis.

Earlier tonight he was hanging on the side of the couch that I was sitting on and he stepped right up onto a toy on the floor and nearly climbed onto the couch. He’s going to be climbing before we know it. Looks like he might be getting his top two teeth in, too.
