Kevin woke up this morning right around the time of his birth 33 years ago…thanks to Derek! Derek must have been hungry because he didn’t cry himself back to sleep this morning like he usually does at 5 am. I got Derek back to sleep and went back to bed myself, but Kevin thought he’d start his birthday off with a pot of coffee and some computer time.

Later that morning we got Sophia up and she refused to sing happy birthday like we’d been practicing. She did sing to him a couple times tonight though, so she made up for it.

Kevin and I had a nice supper out at Red Robin, then did some shopping at WalMart…for the kids of course. We came home to Derek screaming because he was tired and hungry. After we got him to sleep we had a chance to give Sophia some much needed attention. We all laid on her pillow on her bedroom floor and covered up with her SpongeBob blanket. I made up a fantastic story about Princess Sophia discovering to use the potty. Then she told her teddy and kitty the story of Adventureland again. I think bedtime went much easier than usual tonight.
