This past weekend we went over to our friend Stephanie’s house to celebrate her birthday. We all had a great time visiting with friends we haven’t seen in a long time. She had an inflatable pool, trampoline, bats and balls, games and a whole ton of other kid stuff to play with. There were a lot of kids there!! The next youngest child (besides her) was 4 or 5, so Sophia basically kept to herself. We were very surprised that she was so good playing by herself the entire night, especially because the rest of the weekend she was hard at work living up to her “terrible twos” title.
On another note, we have always called me “Mommy” and Kevin “Daddy”. However, for one reason or another Sophia has started to call me “Momma”. I wonder where she picked that up…it’s kind of strange for her to call me “Momma”. However, she’s been very consistent this past week, so I guess I’ll have to get used to my new title. Oh, and Sophia’s new favorite movie is “The Bee Movie”, which I enjoy a little more than the “Incredibles”, which I’ve seen over 15 times.
Derek…what to say about Derek. He started scooting around a little last week. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. Every now and again he’ll get into what we call his “track stance”, he looks like he’s ready to take off!! He can certainly get anything he sets his mind to. And today we noticed one of his bottom teeth is starting to poke through. Finally, our little gummy smile will have a little pearly white! He also got to go on his first wagon ride this last weekend. I was surprised at how well he sits in the wagon. I think he really like it…anything has to be better than that pink umbrella stroller we’ve been pushing him around in!
Emily and I were talking the other day and she said Lynnette instead of Auntie Net–That was a shocker. I don’t think I have ever heard her call you Lynnette.
