New Toy

Last night in the tub Derek found a new toy that he just loves to play with. He pushes, pulls and yanks on it, but Kevin can’t bear to watch. Unfortunately it’s his pee pee! Even after his bath and during his diaper changes he amuses himself with a few tugs. That’s gotta hurt, right?

Should I even be sharing this?? I think it’s just part of a babies life.

Sophia takes a bath with Derek most nights and she likes to wash his pee pee off. She usually points and says “Derek’s pee pee”. Then she points to her parts and says “Phia’s pee pee”. I usually tell her that only boys have pee pees and that she has a vagina. Although it seems a little strange to tell that to a 2 year old, I’ve read that it’s better to use the correct terms for body parts. Maybe I should be using the correct word for pee pee.

Hate to tell you, but the “playing” only gets more involved as they get older! It’s cute when they first start, but wait until they are a little older and they announce in public that “their guy is big!”. They joys of boys! We never used the correct names, we tried to tell Jack what it was called and he got mad and told us he did not have peanuts! We just use “his guy!” Kyle has discoverd it too, watch those poopie diaper changes, he’ll grab at it any chance he’ll get and you’ll get a messy baby hand! ;)
