An hour really does make a difference

Wow, what a crazy and exhausting week we just had in our household. Who would have thought that a one hour time change could make such a difference. Neither one of the kids went to bed on time last week; Derek seemed to be up until at least 11:00 every night, while Sophia was consistently passing 9:00 P.M. Today was the first day we had both kids down by a reasonable time.

Today also started off a little interesting (beyond Grandma Robin’s birthday - Happy 29th :) ). Sophia was a little moppy and didn’t have much interest in anything besides cuddling. She and I were hanging out in the daddy chair, when she suddenly jumped down and walked over to Lynnette, who was sitting on the floor holding Derek. She proceeded to kneel down and projectile vomit all over Lynnette and Derek. We’re talking exorcist style - it was not pretty.

Of course, Sophia got really upset and started to shake and cry. We did our best to calm her down and yet get everything cleaned up. Everyone got baths (except for Lexi) and Daddy got the luxury of cleaning the carpets.

After everything, Sophia seemed to be fine and showed no other side effects the rest of the day.

We took Derek’s five month photos today; this happens to be my favorite:

P.S. Sophia is doing really well sleeping in her big girl bed. We’ve only found her on the floor a few times - We’d consider that a success. :)

P.S.S. I update the graphic at the top of the page, to a picture that really demonstrates just how blue Sophia’s eyes are. I layered a color version on top of the very same desaturated image and erased everything but her eyes. The photo is not enhanced in any other way (color-wise anyway).
