Funny story.
Last night, after putting Derek down in his crib, I was preparing to get to sleep (teeth brushing, pajamas, etc.). When all of a sudden, Lexi who had been in bed for quite some time, started bark and snarl at the bedroom window.
At first, I was yelling at Lexi to shut her yapper, but that didn’t seem to help. Based on how she was acting, I thought it could only mean that someone, or something was outside our bedroom window. You can imagine I was a bit apprehensive to pull open the shades right?
With Lexi as my protector, I decided we should solve this little mystery…
Opening the shade, I was completely shocked to find a full size, female deer standing outside the window. Lexi was also shocked and went berserk!
It ended up, that there were three does wondering around our neighborhood, searching for food. One was even so brave to venture up on our neighbor’s deck (Kelly/Steve if your reading).
After getting a chuckle about the situation, I (along with my growling protector Lexi) watched the deer roam around for awhile and venture off in the distance.
It was an interesting way to end the evening.
