Thanksgiving Day Amy, John and Quinton came to visit and brought lunch. We had so much fun with the kids. Quinton is 5 months old and is very attentive and had an adorable smile on his face most of the time.
Our friends Kara and Eric were unable to make the trip home, due to the weather, so they invited us over Thursday night for dinner. We had a great time. Sophia and Aubrey (22 months) were so adorable playing and sharing together. Kevin and I don’t get to see Sophia interact with kids her age very often, so it was really cute to see them play with one another.
Kara just happened to pick up the paper with the ads for the next day, which gave us the great idea of going shopping at 4 am on Black Friday. Low and behold that was one of the worst decisions I’ve made in a long time. As we pulled into the mall parking lot at 4:30 am and saw the parking lot jam packed full, we knew it wasn’t going to be a pleasant experience. That is something I have vowed to NEVER do ever again!
This afternoon Kevin’s parents showed up with arms full of food. Dick made his famous prime rib and we had lots of other fixins. Lee also showed up with his Thanksgiving pies. Sophia ran around the house as Robin chased her with the camera. Every now and again Sophia would turn around, make a quick pose for the camera, then continue to run away. What a fun game!!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Kevin and I are so thankful for the wonderful family and friends we have!
