It was inevitable…I finally got peed on, or sprayed down (whichever you want to call it). I opened his diaper and was amazed at how much poo was in there. Just when I reached for a wipe, I realized a forgot to cover the hose. Poor thing got it all over himself, me, the changing pad, mirror…everywhere!!

Derek’s has an ongoing issue with his hemoglobin, so we’ve been giving him extra iron once a day. The iron makes him very gassy and a quite constipated. I think it’s a vicious circle, I think he needs to poo to get his hemoglobin up, but the iron we give him to help is actually doing the opposite. I’m not sure how it all interacts with one another, I just know he spends most of his days and nights grunting and groaning. I wish there was something more I can do. Hopefully his labs on Wednesday will show much better results!!
