Derek had his 3 week check up today. He is 6 lbs 11.5 ounces…next week he could hit 7 lbs. However, some of his labs came back a little questionable, so we have to go in again on Friday and again next Wednesday to retest. Each time we go in, they have to poke his poor little feet. The kid is never going to want to let people touch his feet.

Anyway, for 3 weeks old, he is in the 5th percentile for height and weight. That means he beats 4% of all other 3 week olds. I think that’s great, since he’s still supposed to be growing in my tummy! However, just looking at him, I can’t fathom him still in my tummy…he’s so big!

I have to mention that Sophia has done really great over the last couple of days. She really seems interested in her little brother, but knows not to touch too much. She poked his little ear tonight and said “ear”, and he let out a little squeak, but as of now, I would say the two of them seem to like one another…only time will tell.
