I haven’t had access to the internet for the last couple of days, so I haven’t been able to give you any updates. Derek is doing really good. He has a feeding tube and a few other things hooked up, but he’s really doing well. He’s a little jaundice, so he has to wear his fancy Oakley’s while he sunbathes under the bright lights.

Yesterday, they started feeding him breast milk through his feeding tube, now I just have to keep up with his feedings. Kevin and I also got to hold him for the first time yesterday. It was only about 10 minutes a piece, but it was the best 10 minutes ever.

I will be getting discharged tomorrow, so Kevin and I will have to figure out a new schedule. They still haven’t given us a timeline on when he will be coming home. I think it’s dependent on his feeding.

I’m pretty happy to get to see Sophia tomorrow!!
