With everything else that’s going on, I didn’t want Sophia to feel like we missed of her big milestones. On Thursday she turned 18 months. I know every parent says it, but it is in fact so true- “your children grow up so fast”.
Kevin took Sophia to her 18 month check up yesterday, which she passed with flying colors. She was in the 50% percentile of height weight and head. Her ears were a little gunky, but the tubes looked like they were doing their job!
Quick note to my Princess: Sophia, Mommy and Daddy love you so much. Each and every day you bring a smile to our faces. It may be a new word you learn (or copy), or just something cute you do, or the continuous asking “what’s that”. You are such a smart little girl and you have started picking up on everything!
You’ve got us all on our morning and bed time routines, and you sure let us know if we’ve forgotten something! I must say that you may wear more dresses than us, but you certainly wear the pants in our family. The biggest thing is you have your mommy’s sleeping habits. I can only count a handful of times that you haven’t slept through the night, since you were 6 weeks old.
Since I know what a great girl you are, I have to ask that you take it easy on your daddy and grandma over the next few weeks. Not being able to put you to bed last night was so hard on me and I know there are many more nights to come. I know you’ll be a wonderful big sister to you brother when he arrives, but I just have to ask for your patience and understanding in the meantime.
We love you so much Sophia. Happy 18 month birthday Sweet Pea!
