Sleepy Sunday

This morning I had a dream that I was at a friends house and their baby wouldn’t stop crying. I remember getting alittle annoyed in my dream that the baby wouldn’t stop crying. After awhile (I have no idea how long), I realized that it was really Sophia crying. I have no idea how long she’d really been crying. I felt so bad, that is the first time I’ve not heard her roll over and wake up.

We did our usual morning waffles and play time. Then after lunch Sophia went down for a nap. I did a few quick things around the house, then told Kevin I was going to read a magazine in bed. I decided I would just close my eyes for 5 minutes.

I realized my 5 minutes was up when Kevin brought Sophia in to say hello. I was a little confused, because Sophia usually takes a 2-3 hour nap on the weekends and I know I only closed my eyes for maybe 10 minutes. He then told me that I’d been “reading my magazine” for over 2 hours. He said he had been downstairs and came up for something and heard Sophia crying. That is the second time since she has been born that I did not hear her. I’m having a hard time believing it’s not just a conspiracy and that the whole world moved their clocks ahead a couple of hours to play a joke on me.

Once I got my thoughts straight, we headed down to Grandma Robin’s and Grandpa Dick’s for dinner and some play time with the doggies. Sophia thought playing with Grandma and her doggies was so much fun! She had a great time playing tug and chasing them around the yard. I think she may have worn Grandma out a bit!

There is no doubt, she wore Grandma out. She was such a good girl, but she really wore out all the doggies! Everyone slept very soundly last night; especially Kirby and Carly.
