We had a very interesting day today. First we met Grandma Robin out for lunch. The service was awful and all Sophia wanted to eat was ketchup. Grandma got a number of giggles out of watching Sophia test us. She was actually dressed so cute today, nobody could help but smile at her.
Next we all went over to Baby Depot, which is where we had picked out the bedroom set we wanted for Cashew. All was going great until they wouldn’t honor a 10% off coupon for the dresser, just because they didn’t have the item in stock. Not sure why they have the rules they have, but even talking to the manager and a few tears didn’t seem to change their mind.
I was about ready to walk out, but Grandma Robin made an executive decision by going ahead with her part of the purchase. Someone had to or I would have made a huge scene. There’s much more to the story, but I will spare everyone the details. I will just say that Baby Depot is NOT a very pleasant place to shop and I would not recommend anyone buying anything there…unless that is the only place you can find what you want. Thanks Grandma Robin for buying Cashew’s dresser…she wanted to buy the crib, but again that goes into another whole story, which actually starts with the original crib that she bought Sophia. I’ll spare everyone with all the details.
Anyway, the rest of the day was really fun. Sophia took a 3 hour nap and Kevin and I were able to get the crib put together and a ton of other things done around the house. After supper we i-chatted with Grandma Marilyn and G’pa Steve. Then we went down and watched a movie and rolled around on the floor. Well I can’t really roll, so I just watched.
