Friday night we babysat my friend Karen’s 3 yr old, MaKenna. We took the girls to the nearby park, then played with side walk chalk out front with the neighbor kids. The girls had so much fun!
On Saturday Auntie Karissa, Grandma Robin, Kevin, Sophia and I all went to the zoo. Sophia loved it. She was so attentive the entire time. She seemed to be amazed with each and every animal, even the fish and frogs.
As the day went on it got hotter and hotter, but it didn’t seem to bother Sophia at all. Each time we moved on to see another animal, she shivered with excitement. She even got to pet a baby goat. I think her favorite was the peacock, which crossed the path right in front of us.
I’m so glad we decided to take her. We’ll have to go back soon, so Sophia can check out her new found friends.

Emily was looking throug her scrapbooks the other night and wanted to know when we were going to go back to the zoo….Maybe we will make it down there to go before school starts…..We may have to make a bunch of plans for next summer–Zoo, Adventureland, etc. I already can’t wait to go to the new water park in St. Lake.
Ooh, that sounds like a good idea!! Sophia would love to go back and see her friends.
