We went to Cedar Falls on Saturday for my cousin Melissa’s wedding. We checked into the hotel a little early and took Sophia swimming. It took her 15-20 minutes to want to even get close to the water, and she screamed when Kevin did a cannonball into the water. I don’t think she liked that he disappeared under the water. We finally got her to get in the water with me, but she held on for dear life and scratched the heck out of my arm.
The wedding was great and the reception was really fun. Sophia and I had been practicing the Chicken Dance for a couple of weeks, but they didn’t play it. However, Sophia had so much fun dancing for everyone…she was adorable and everyone loved her! It took her awhile to wind down that night.
Sunday after they opened presents, everyone followed us back to Des Moines. Kim, Emily, Mom, and Karissa stayed overnight Sunday and we all went shopping on Sunday. Poor Kevin had to deal with three pregnant chicks…have I mentioned that Karissa is pregnant too. She’s due January 1st! It’ll surely be a fun holiday season this year!
Speaking of dancing, I had a little bit of trouble getting Sophia to even blink. See, she was really memorized by all of the blinking/flashing lights on the dance floor. I kept having to touch her face and cover her eyes, just so she would remember what to do.
In any case, she really did enjoy stepping around, doing her own little dance.
I added a picture of Sophia from the wedding, wearing the super cute dress that Grandma Marilyn got for her.
She really had a good disposition the entire weekend. It was great…
Can I get a copy of the picture?
