Maybe it’s all psychological, but Kevin and I both think Sophia is a brand new kid!!

Yesterday morning Sophia had her tubes put in. The hardest part was keeping her from throwing a complete fit until the surgery, since she hadn’t had anything to eat since 8 pm the previous night. About 7:30 am the anesthesiologist came back and we handed her over. I cried just a little (it’s a mother’s right), but I knew it was all for the best.

Ten minutes after we handed her over, they came back and said she was in recovery. The doc said the surgery went fine, but her right ear was very pussy and very infected (her left one was fine). When we finally got to go back to see her we could hear her screaming from all the way down the hallway. That’s exactly how I come out of anesthesia!! She screamed all the way home!

Once we got home and she saw Lexi and had a piece of cheese….she was all cured. All last night and today she has just been so happy and easy going. It seems she’s walking better and can hear better. I’m not sure if there is any correlation, but she hasn’t really thrown her usually temper tantrum when changing her pants. It was definitely worth it!!
