How to use your child to avoid telemarketers

It was almost time for Sophia’s afternoon nap and she was getting a little fussy. I had put the bottle in the warmer and had just finished changing her pants, when the phone rang. Who else, but a telemarketer. He was actually very pleasant and was asking for a donation to some very important cause, I’m sure.

So I had to think fast, because I hate to flat out say NO. So I put Sophia in her crib. Putting Sophia down when she’s that tired is asking for a shrill scream or two. It worked, the guy on the other end said, Oh sorry I must have called at a bad time. It worked this time, but what happens if she’s already napping when he calls back, I can’t wake her up just to dodge unwanted calls.
