Yesterday we bought Sophia some tennis shoes. She didn’t seem to mind them at all. In fact I think the extra traction is helping her scoot forward. She’s figured out that the forward motion might get her to a toy faster (usually a dog toy). Previously, she would roll over to something twist her body around with her feet and project herself into a roll in the right direction. It was definitely the long way, but she seemed to be getting really good at it. Anyway, so if she doesn’t actually get her belly off the ground, do you call that a scoot or a crawl. I won’t tell you which one of her parents swears she is crawling.
