Sophia had another fine bit of cuisine today; somehow she managed to get a taste of napkin.
A bit of background. While at lunch today (Mazatlan), Sophia was very alertly gazing around the restaurant at all the sights and sounds. Lynnette noticed that she had a problem on going around her nose area (i.e snot) and asked the waiter for some additional napkins.
To make a long story short, Sophia was able to snag one of the napkins off the table and managed to somehow bite (less teeth of course) off a small chunk. I tried to grab as much as I could out of her mouth, but ultimately, she had a taste.
Oh well, won’t be the first time I’m sure. The ironic part is I couldn’t help but wonder if as she watched us eat, that we were somehow eating napkins. She didn’t seem all that interested in our food anyway…

Besides the napkin, she also got to try fruit puffs. She was really good at picking them up, but they kept getting stuck to her hands. I picked one up and put it in her mouth. She made a funny face and spit it out. I put it back in and she gummed it a bit, then it finally desolved in her mouth. After that she seemed to get the hang of it. Out of the other 5 pieces on her tray, I think she ate two more…then Lexi managed to grab the other three!
Oh lord. Alex and Bella were SOOOO bad about this. They ate so many tissues….I would try to wipe their noses and they would grab hold of them in a tight grip and immediately put them in their mouth.
I know this sounds crazy, but I even took them to the Dr. because I was so worried about how much they would eat. BUT, she said it wasn’t a big deal, that I might notice some white-ish “streaks” when it came back out the other end, but that it was nothing to worry about.
Kids are so weird and so very ORAL with everything….
