Today was such a wonderful day. The best present ever was just getting to enjoy Mother’s Day and to know that it now applies to me too. Being a mom is the best gift ever!
However, Kevin felt like he needed to do a little more to celebrate my first Mother’s Day. Yesterday he came home with a new laser printer, because the other 15 printers that we’ve had always seem to run out of ink after about a week.
My first big present came this morning. Kevin put Sophia to bed around 10:30 last night, and to my surprise she didn’t get up until 6:45. Woo hoo, the second time she’s slept through the night. Let’s make this a habit!
Next was breakfast, courtesy of Burger King. Then, since I’ve been complaining about how I really wanted to get a pedicure for the last couple of weeks, Kevin broke down and bought me a gift certificate to Sahar’s to get my toes done. What a wonderful husband!! Do I sound like a broken record or what. I hope everyone knows that I do have the best husband in the world!!
You’d think that that would be enough for a person, but Kevin surprised me with one more thing. I had mentioned yesterday that my one goal this weekend was to clean the bathrooms. You’ve got it…he got right in there with that elbow grease and scrubbed the toilets. Sorry, he’s mine ladies…I’m not giving him up!!

I must confess, the printer is partially for me as well. Plus we’ll write it off as a business expense.
It really was pretty cheap though, $119 (w/$20 rebate). Not too shabby for a low end B/W laser printer. The toner that came with it is rated for 1500 sheets. Much more than we would ever get with a stink-jet printer.
I’m happy to help out my wife and new mommy whenever I can. She’s certainly worth it!
