Getting out of the House

This week was a successful week in getting out of the house. On Wednesday Sophia and I went to Lutheran Hospital for a Mommy Support Class. We weighed Sophia while we were there and she was 9 pounds, 5 ounces. She’s growing like a weed! After we left there we stopped by to visit Brandy & Anya. 9 month old Anya can’t wait to play with Sophia!!

Friday afternoon Sophia and I went to the mall. We met Emily and her daughter Caroline. Caroline was born on April 12th and is such a cutie!! It was so nice to talk to Emily, since she’s going through the same things as I am at the same time. It’s so nice to have someone to talk to about those type of things!!

Today I had wedding shower to go to at Kara’s. Since Kara’s little girl is 13 weeks old, Kevin and Sophia came with to hang out with Eric and little Aubrey (in the basement). It was going to be a Daddy/Baby playtime. Sophia was awake most of the time, while Aubrey slept most of the time. They all played very well together.

It is so great to get to spend these first weeks bonding with Sophia, but this week I realized how much I miss adult conversation and interaction!! I was also thinking it might be nice to go back to work, just because I think it might bring back some of my missing brain cells. Don’t get me wrong, I’m planning on taking all the time off that I can!!

Just let me know when you’re ready for a couple hours away from the little Princess and I’ll take you out to dinner! On me! I hear Biaggi’s calling us…

Sounds like your feeding that little girl pretty good. (She has passed Caleb by–he’s not even 9 lbs yet.) Keep up the good work.
