No, you eyes aren’t deceiving you, hillabolt.com got a makeover last night.
After nearly a year with the same Wordpress theme, I decided it was time for something new. What I ended up with was the Hemingway Reloaded theme by Wordpresslab.com ZimpleZa theme by ps3 (with a few tweaks by me of course).
There first thing you may notice is just how much less cluttered the site has become. Kind of a Zen moment: as our lives have become so much more complex with our little Sophia, my approach is to simplify wherever possible. Kind of strange to relate a blog to the complexity of our lives, isn’t it? Whatever, the blog is something I can very easily control; Sophia on the other hand, requires quite a bit more flexibility.
One more thing: how did I find the time to modify the site you ask? Let’s just say there was a window of time last night (between 10:30 & 11:00 P.M.) for me to get acquainted with my computer again. It was glorious to feel the warm glow once again…
Interesting, not a single comment about the new design. I wonder if that’s a good, or bad thing?
I guess Lynnette did say “I don’t hate it, it’s just so different than what we had before…”
Comments anyone?
I would rather be able to finish the article without going to another page. It takes too long to find the spot where you left off before you changed pages.
sf
back to the old theme huh?
I?ve been updating mine behind the scenes and just knew you couldn’t something like that in a couple hours and be happy with it. Picking the stupid theme is the hardest part of this blog site stuff….
btw I didn’t like the other one that much, to plane, and you need to add more pictures to your posts here of the baby and stuff. I really like the new WPG2 plugin it works really well and give you more control than the old one did. Plus the new Word Press is really nice.
What is this “new theme thingy” that you speak of?
Guess I missed out.
Oh well, you’ll get ‘em next time…
Kevin changed it back to the old one.
