Bathtime fun

Wow, did we ever reach another milestone in parenting last night.

Let me explain: since Sophia’s cord has yet to fall off, we are still not able to give her a bath where the body is fully submerged; instead we are supposed to only do a “sponge bath”. To get around this, we use the small seat (for infants) that came with our tub and never fill the water up high enough to submerge anything higher than her rear end. So far this has worked out really well for us.

Last night however, we got a little surprise. Keep in mind that each time we have given her a bath, the less she seems to cry and the more she enjoys the extra-special attention we give. So much so, that let’s just say she “let it all go” while we were cleaning her hair.

Our first thought was “oh my, did she really just do that?” But our emotions quickly turned to hilarity, as we both giggled hysterically. There were comments like: “at least she’s in the tub” and “is it supposed to look like that?”

Oh well, it was another one of those experience we’ll love to share with our little peanut in the future. Hopefully, at the most embarrassing time possible…
