Being the technical wizard that I am (or the nervous father-to-be), I whipped together a nifty Ruby on Rails application to ease the process of sending out our announcement.

Was the email it sends html? Could you post a sample?
It was HTML.
I had it set up to send both HTML and Plain text, but Apple Mail.app seemed to have problems rendering, so I switched to HTML only.
