Hi all. Sorry it’s been so long since our last post. It’s been a pretty busy week and a half. As most of you know, our little angel was born Tuesday April 4th. Let me know if you didn’t receive the email with the details and I’ll forward it on.
I will spare you all the labor details and just say that it was all worth. Sophia (aka: Peanut) is the cutest little girl ever (I’m a little biased!) and she’s a great eater and sleeper. I could just watch her sleep all night. Kevin is a wonderful daddy and hates the fact that he already had to go back to work.
I can’t believe how much she’s already grown in the last week. Kevin had her on his stomach while sitting on the couch the other night and she was holding her head up and staring at him. It was so cute! Kevin swears her eyes are turning green, but my mom and I just can’s see it. My mom swears that she can already see a couple of feet away, because she keeps staring at the picture on the wall. I’m sure that’s how all parents and grandparents think, but it’s great to see progress in a new born.
Kevin went back to work Tuesday and my parents have come to help out. My house has never been so clean. Mom is cleaning all the windows right now and my dad is out edging the yard. Hhhmm, I wonder how long we can get them to stay!
Edging the yard? Does that mean he is mowing to? Sweet.
Yes, things have been really hectic this past week and a half. But no matter what, whenever I see sweet little Sophia, it’s all worth it.
I’ll spare the labor details (from the husband’s POV) as well, suffice it to say, it was certainly an experience like no other. Despite one of the longest nights (and day) of our lives, Lynnette was so amazingly strong and we have our sweet (and healthy) Sophia.
Anyway, being a dad is really great. If you can believe it, I don’t even mind changing diapers at all (of course the really messy ones have yet to arrive). You have to keep pinching yourself - “we really made this sweet angel together?”
