First of all, I just want to ask all you women out there if they feel like there OBGYN office treats you like another cow coming in to get branded? Is it to late to switch doctors offices??
As most of you know, I love my old doctor. Dr. Ross left in December to pursue other opportunities in Montana. What the heck is in Montona? Even though I sometimes had to spend 3 hours waiting to see her, I always felt like she and Nurse Linda cared and actually knew you as a person instead of just another patient. And we always got a hug on the way out.
I have been with my new doctors office for almost 3 months now and feel like just another number. I think there are 7 doctors in the practice (I think I’ve met 3) plus a couple of nurse practitioners. My only goal was to get to meet of the doctors so that I will have at least met the person delivering dear Peanut. Up until this week, it really didn’t seem that anyone at the office really cared how I felt.
I sat in waiting room for about a half hour when a nurse came out and asked me if I wanted to see the nurse practitioner. I told her I wanted to see Dr. Morgan, as I hadn’t met her yet. The nurse then told me it would be a couple hour wait. I then agreed to see the nurse practitioner, whom I really liked. She was the first person who asked me questions and seemed to be sincerely interested in my answers.
Anywho, I just wanted to see if all OB offices in town were this impersonal, or if I just made a bad decision.
Oh and just like every other week everything the actual check-up part was good. Peanut seems to be growing just fine!
