Kevin and I decided to take another look at the baby furniture at K’s Merchandise tonight. After about an hour of discussion, we finally decided on Peanut’s new bedroom set. This time it’s white and it’s in stock!!! Kevin is going to pick it up tomorrow night.
While we were looking around, Kevin noticed a little SALE sign stuck behind the flyer. It said that the crib that we had picked out was on sale until 12/31/05. So I asked the sales guy if we could have it for the sale price. It must have been our lucky night, because he didn’t really seem to care. So we saved $40.
Now we just have to make sure we can get store credit for the old one.
Well, the changing table/dresser went together pretty easily, but I wouldn’t call the process speedy - many parts to contend with.
Hmm, when you notice box 2 of 2 of the crib doesn’t have the same tape around the edges as the other boxes, there is probably a problem.
Ah yes, it was missing the instruction manual and more importantly, the horizontal mattress supports. I was however, able to put most of it together without any problems.
I guess we’ll see how well Simplicity handles situations like this.
Why is this baby furniture such a hassle?
Good news. We were able to get in touch with Simplicity and they were very understanding of our situation.
Basically, we were sent an electronic version of the manual and as far as the missing pieces, they offered to send them right away. The process couldn’t have been easier.
Hey! Where’s the pictures???
Oh, I guess I could WALK DOWN THE STREET and see it too…
It’s still in shambles at this point. Hopefully, we should have everything together sometime next week.
