Thank You Dear

After a couple of long stressful days at work, I came home last night to some wonderful things. Kevin had bought me a new color printer for the computer and a very thoughtful card. Then, even though I hadn’t been home one night all week (poor things been eating bologna and cheese for lunch and supper), he took me out for supper to our favorite Mexican restaurant. I don’t know how he does it, but he always knows when I need a little extra support. I know I probably take him for granted but I just wanted to let the world know how lucky I am!!!

We topped off the evening by Peanut kicking Kevin harder than she’d ever kicked him before. I think he may have felt a foot!! This inspired us to watch our favorite Tivo’d program…In the Womb.

You can’t have a better Thursday night than that!!

Thank you honey. This post was very nice and thoughtful. :)

The printer is an interesting story: our other printer has been out of ink for several months and we are getting really close to a need to use it. While at Target, I happened to stroll through the computer department, with hopes that ink would be cheap. No such luck, since we needed both black and color cartridges, the cost would have been over $60.

Being the frugal shopper I am, I glanced down the alse at the printers, hoping something would jump out. There happened to be one that stood out: the Lexmark z611 had an unbelievable price of $24.99! I thought “heck, I can just buy a new printer and it would still be cheaper.”

Here’s what I found out after hooking it up and why you should actually read the information on the packaging carefully. Basically, it only came with a small color cartridge, no black one. And because of it’s somewhat limited abilities (i.e it’s a el-cheapo), we cannot print in black, because it is unable to mix the colors appropriately.

Guess how much a black cartridge is? $30! Putting the price at nearly the same as it would have been to buy new ink for the old printer.

    Such is the luck. :)
