I left work around 3 on Friday and picked Lee (little brother) up to head to Cherokee. Kevin graciously stayed at home with the doggies to work on the bathroom.

We arrived in Cherokee around 7 PM. Right away, Mom, Kim (older sister)and I went to a little party then met Lee, Dad and Emily for supper. After that we went back to Mom and Dad’s and hung out. It was a busy night, since Emily decided we were going to have a slumber party. The two of us finally fell asleep in the living room watching cartoons around 11.

The next day was quite relaxing with a little shopping and…well that’s about it. Around 5ish I was sitting on the couch when Peanut starting kicking quite hard. I told Karissa (little sister) to come and feel her kick. Just as soon as she came over, Peanut stopped kicking. We tried this 3 or 4 different times before Karissa gave up and decided to jump in the shower. About a half hour later I told my mom to come over and feel her kick. Mom felt her kick about 3 times. We both swore that we could feel her little foot just hanging out next to my belly. Of course by the time Karissa came back into the room Peanut had gone back to sleep. Sorry Karissa!!

That night we got dressed up (even Lee) and went to the Hy-Vee Warehouse Christmas party, where Dad was recognized for his retirement after many years with the company. Our table consisted of Grandma, Grandpa, Kim, Lee, Karissa, Aunt Jean, Uncle Al, Mom, Dad and myself. We all had a wonderful night with only a few tears during the couple of speeches about Dad’s commitment and dedication to the company.

This morning I made everyone breakfast (my famous Lynnette-wiches), then Lee and I left around 11:30. The weather slowed us up a bit, but I made it back home around 3:30. Kevin and the doggies were so happy to see me. I was amazed at how much progress they made on the bathroom. It may even be done next weekend!!! Yeah!!!
