I had planned to start and finish my Christmas shopping on Saturday. However, around 1 o’clock I was sitting at Jordan Motors getting my oil changed while watching the snow come down. So I figured it might be in my best interest to just head home.
I wasn’t going to let the snow stop me. I thought I would try shopping on-line. So I spent two hours on Amazon.com picking out gifts for everyone. After about two hours I was very happy with my findings. I would only have to shop for two other gifts. I entered my credit card information, then hit submit order. Just then the screen came back and said…you’re order will be shipped on January 3, 2006. Not to be outdone, I then went in and increased my shipping requirements. No change. At that point I wrote everything down that I had picked out for everyone and decided to ditch shopping on line
I started my Sunday a little later than normal (we were out late on Saturday night). So I woke up and hopped in the shower. Angie was nice enough to offer to go power shopping with me. We left my house at 11:30, then spent an hour at Perkins, not a real fast start for the day. After we left Perkins, it was on!! We hit Toy’s R Us, Kohl’s and Best Buy. At each store we went directly to the items on my list. It was soooo hard to bi-pass the baby section at Kohl’s, but I was strong. Angie dropped me back home at 2:30. My Christmas shopping is done (with one exception). I truly am a power shopper!!!
Correction- I have two gifts to get. I keep forgetting about my dear sweet husband. What do you want?? I’m not getting you a new mac.
You know, this is the first post you have made that didn’t revolve around Peanut.
Forgot about me again huh? I guess a book would be nice: http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/designinterfaces/index.html
Of course I would prefer a new iMac, but I understand we have extra expenses coming in the near future. The bathroom continues to suck money from our bank account…
I have to say that I have never known anyone who could get their Christmas shopping done in 4 hours. Just wait until next year.
