Another life lesson learned

I have learned another of life’s lessons, in preparation of peanut’s arrival:

See, yesterday, I decided it was time to give the dogs another bath, as they were both a little on the grungy side. In any case, Lexi just happened to be near the bathroom once I had things ready to go, so she was the first. Unlucky for her I’m sure.

After finishing up with Lexi, I went searching for the little buddy (aka Rory). When I finally found him, he was curled up in the fetal position on the couch, trying his best to be invisible. It’s not that he hates baths once he’s in the tub; it is getting him in the bathroom that’s the problem. Anyway, as I went to pick him up (since he obviously wouldn’t go willingly), SPRITZ ALL OVER THE PLACE (Including: Me, the couch, the coffee table and the floor). Ah yes, he was so terrified, that he tinkled all over the place.

I didn’t get mad at Rory, or the situation, in fact, I almost was laughing myself hysterically. I’m just sorry Lynnette wasn’t home to share in the moment.

Reflecting on the situation, I’m sure this probably won’t be the last time something like this happens to me, especially, once our bundle of joy arrives…
