I’ve been reading in some magazines and on the internet that some people feel their baby’s first movements between 16 and 20 weeks. I’ve also read if you eat chocolate, it causes the baby to kick a bit harder and your more apt to feel it. So every night around 9, I have a few mini M&Ms and lay quietly on the couch. Every night I feel something, but I’m sure it’s just gas, cramps, or my mind willing myself to feel something. It’s never felt like popcorn popping, butterflies or tiny taps, so I don’t think I’ve felt Peanut yet. I’ll let you know when I do!!
I suggested drinking a RedBull, but that probably isn’t a good idea.
It will probably be much longer before I will get the opportunity to feel Peanut “kicking”, since he’s not actually in my tummy. So how long before the external world gets to feel any activity?
There will come a time when you’ll wish Peanut wouldn’t kick so much, but I know that the first time you feel it will be WONDERFUL! There’s no feeling quite like it.

I have a friend that’s only 30 weeks along and she said her baby is kicking so hard she was wondering if she was suffocating. If I ever complain about Peanut kicking too hard or too much, just refer me to this post!!
